Multitasking

                     Another day,
                              another sunrise.
                  Exercise,
                             dance today.
              “Mom, we’re hungry!”
                     Breakfast.
               Quick shower ~
                        beat them to the punch.
                 Time to play teacher ~
                         ‘I don’t want to do math!”
                  “Mom, I want to be first
                                          on the computer!”
                       I could kiss whoever came up
                               with edutainment.
               Three hours,
                    two pages of math.
                Argh! They really didn’t
                                  want to do math.
                     Off to play.
                          Laundry.
                          Laundry.
                     Lunch.
           Whoever thought being a mom
                                was easy
                    has never been one.
               Completely thankless.
                              Yes.
                   Easy?
                       Um….no.
